The wild, white horses of the Camargue Region of southern France near the Mediterranean Sea.
The wild, white horses are found in the Camargue region in southern France near the Mediterranean Sea and are thought to be one of the oldest breeds in the world. Some archaeologists believe it is this ancient breed of horses that provided the subject for the earliest cave drawings in southwestern France which have been dated roughly 30,000 years ago. It was an incredible experience to photograph these horses while resting on my knees in the Mediterranean Sea.
